The Paisley Royals - Keeping Off The Track Single [Review]

Hi and welcome back to another post from MRG Reviews. Today we will be looking into the highly anticipated single from the Leeds Indie 4-Piece band, 'The Paisley Royals.' The band formed towards the end of 2014, and have since gone from strength to strength, and this single is living proof of how far the band have come in just over a year.

Keeping Off The Track

The track as a whole is a very pretty and upbeat song, full of tight and intricate little guitar riffs and hooks. The drums, rhythm guitar and bass lines are kept straight forward and simple, so that the lead guitar lines can really shine through, and I find this very effective throughout the song, as the different aspects help the listener's attention to remain on the song. The backing 'Whaaooo Whaaoo's' help to highlight the chorus vocals very well, and with the very faint piano/ keyboard and crash cymbal highlights, it makes for a really memorable chorus that you will find yourself singing to yourself hours after listening to the song.

If you are into your Indie, Pop, Brit Pop or even Rock music, I am sure that you would love this song, but don't just believe what you read, because as of Tuesday 2nd February 2016, you can hear the song through the Soundcloud link below, and if you would like to purchase the track, then you can buy it from the Bandcamp link below when it goes live on Friday 5th February 2016.
