Buckle Tongue - A King In All Of Us EP [Review]

Today we are looking into an EP titled, 'A King In All Of Us,' written and performed by the band 'Buckle Tongue'. A four piece band that are from a North-Western town called Ellesmere Port. Since their formation in their mid teens the band have supported the likes of 'Madina Lake' and 'Neck Deep' and continue to raise the bar with every new song they release. Their music consists of catchy riffs and lyrics that tell a story. These guys put the 'banger' in head banger!

MRG's Top Tracks:
4: Wayside In my opinion there are no weak songs on this EP so it was hard to pick an order of which songs I prefer. This song starts off with a pop-punk guitar vibe and an intricate drum fill that slowly gets a little heavier as the song goes on until it reaches the breakdowns. This song does have a very catchy chorus and the lyrics are clever. A well written song all round. 3: Embers This song starts with a fast paced drum roll following a catchy guitar riff and then kicks in with a short bridge until the lyrics come in to kick the song off. This is another one of Buckle Tongue's cleverly written and catchy songs. The chorus is one that you can belt out in the car and you won't feel embarrassed by it. 2: Tidal This song starts with a guitar riff that induces head banging immediately. The whole vibe of this song is quite badass and the aggressive tone on the vocals really makes the song have so much more depth to it. This is the most fist-pumping song on the EP although it all tones down to a very chilled, clean vibe at the end of the song. 1: You're Saving Me I'm not sure what it is about this song but this is my favourite song on the EP. The intro is well written with the drums following the punchy guitar riff and the vocals to begin the song. The song is fast paced and the vocals really lift the song and the chorus is yet another catchy, sing along one. The song is nicely broken up using licks on the guitar and even has a slow section to wind down before it builds up to the solo and then finally winds down to end the EP. A really well-written EP from the band and is definitely recommended to listen to if you're a fan of rock music. If you haven't already you should check them out and if possible see them live!
